How it works

Arranging dialysis abroad means matching your treatment needs to a unit that has space and will accept a visiting patient. Here is how we do that with you.

1. 01

   Send us your trip and your dialysis details

   Destination and dates, your dialysis type (haemodialysis or peritoneal), how many sessions you need, your dry weight, access type, and any recent changes to your prescription. It takes about five minutes.

2. 02

   We shortlist centers near where you're staying

   We contact units within reasonable travelling distance of your accommodation, check they have chairs free on your dates and shifts, and confirm they can treat your access and any infection markers (hepatitis B/C, HIV).

3. 03

   You approve the option and price

   We send you the clinic, session times, travel distance and the cost per session. Nothing is booked until you say yes.

4. 04

   We send your records across

   The clinic will ask for recent bloods, virology, a dialysis prescription and usually a fit-to-fly / fit-to-travel letter from your nephrologist. We tell you exactly what's needed and pass it over securely.

5. 05

   You travel with written confirmation

   Before you fly you have a confirmation document: clinic name and address, session dates and times, directions, and a phone number and email for changes while you're away.
